Peak Design, the crowdfunded leaders in travel bags and camera accessories, are deepening their relationship with 7bridges in order to realise new benefits from the AI powered logistics platform that will further improve the delivery experience for their customers.
Having been on a transformation journey with 7bridges since 2020 to enhance their logistics operations, Peak initially focused on improving the overall performance of their operations, they were also able to identify nearly $1 million of cost reduction opportunities and realise a number of these through the platform. Now, Peak and 7bridges are ready to move to the next level to improve the customer delivery experience.
Recognising the need to evolve beyond the existing model of providing static delivery estimates to their customers, Peak Design will be utilising 7bridges’ AI powered platform to provide real time delivery cost and date estimates to shoppers across the world. The enhanced functionality will consider variables like customer location, where stock is held and the required delivery time, ensuring that Peak’s customers will see a more accurate and reliable delivery time and cost estimate.
Jen Howell, Director of Customer Experience & Logistics at Peak Design says "We've enjoyed a successful relationship with 7bridges over the past 18 months, which has enabled us to make strategic, data-led decisions and easily implement these through the platform to reduce costs and improve logistic performance. With this new implementation, we’re aiming to increase our basket conversion rates by offering faster and cheaper delivery options to our customers around the world."
"Working with Peak Design we've further recognised the importance of helping our partners deliver a personalised delivery journey for their customers." Says Philip Ashton, CEO at 7bridges. "Our platform enables companies like Peak to wield their logistics as a competitive advantage to satisfy, grow and delight their customer base. We’re incredibly excited to see the benefits that Peak Design will be able to realise with this implementation."
About Peak Design
Since 2010, Peak Design has been building innovative carry solutions with a simple overarching design directive: make the best things. The idea for our first product was born on a motorcycle trip through Southeast Asia and has since expanded to include a cross-functional ecosystem of bags, pouches, slings, straps, tripods, and mobile accessories. We’ve won applause along the way, but we’re most proud of the fact that we’re 100% crowdfunded, 100% employee-owned, and co-founders of Climate Neutral. We’ve raised $34.3 Million through 10 Kickstarter campaigns to become the world’s most successfully crowdfunded company. This allows Peak Design to stay investor-free and focused on the things that matter most: designing great products, fostering happy employees, and taking care of our customers and the natural environment.
About 7bridges
7bridges was co-founded in 2016 by Philip Ashton and Matei Beremski. Through their work in logistics and machine learning, they saw an opportunity to use technology and big data to reverse the systemic waste of money and resources they observed throughout global supply chains. The 7bridges vision is a world where supply chains are flexible, adaptable and sustainable. Today, the 7bridges platform is used by some of the world's top retail, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and distribution brands to orchestrate and execute operations across their supply chains.
